ICAR-CIFE Young Professional-II Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education (ICAR-CIFE), Mumbai, a deemed university of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, is hiring a Young Professional-II (YP-II) on contract. The post belongs to the ICAR-NIAP Network Project titled "Integrated Assessment of Ecosystem Services along an Urbanization Gradient in Selected Estuarine Systems of Maharashtra" for 2026-27.

The work leans heavily on economics research and data. The institute wants someone who can collect field data, clean and analyse it in MS Excel, R and Python, map it with ArcGIS/GIS, and turn the results into reports and presentations. If you come from an economics, statistics or fisheries background and enjoy working with data, this is a good entry into ICAR project research.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The post is purely temporary, for one year or until the project ends.
• Rules: Your tenure and service conditions follow the ICAR guidelines for Young Professionals.
• Place of work: You will work at ICAR-CIFE, Versova, Andheri (West), Mumbai.
• No side jobs: You declare that you will not take up any other job or work during the project without written permission from the Project PI.
• Selection basis: The choice depends on your academic record, research experience and how you do in the interview.
• Final say: The Director, ICAR-CIFE has the final decision on all matters.
