Who Can Apply?

Technical and Shipbuilding Posts

• Qualification: You need a full-time engineering degree with required marks in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Naval Architecture, Civil, Design, Ship Building, Marine Engineering, or related disciplines as mentioned for the post.
• Experience: Technical posts need post-qualification experience in areas such as ship building, ship design, ship repairs, maintenance, trials, machinery installation, construction, refits, fabrication, or shipyard operations.
• Experience range: The requirement changes by post, from 2 years for Deputy Project Officer level roles to 20 years for Project Superintendent.

HR, Safety, and Fire Safety Posts

• HR posts: You need a full-time graduate degree and a post-graduate degree or diploma in HR, Personnel Management, Labour Laws, Management, or Law as specified for the post.
• Safety posts: You need a full-time engineering degree and a one-year diploma or equivalent qualification in Industrial Safety.
• Fire Safety posts: You need a full-time engineering degree and a one-year diploma or equivalent qualification in Fire Safety.

Age Limit

• Deputy Manager (Technical): Maximum age is 35 years as on 3 June 2026.
• Manager (Technical), Deputy Project Officer posts: Maximum age is 40 years as on 3 June 2026.
• Manager (HR): Maximum age is 45 years as on 3 June 2026.
• Project Superintendent and Deputy Project Superintendent: Maximum age is 57 years as on 3 June 2026.
• Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, PwD, ex-servicemen, and internal candidates get relaxation as per Government/HSL rules.

Salary

• Manager (E3): IDA pay scale Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000; approximate annual CTC at minimum scale is Rs. 18.42 lakh.
• Deputy Manager (E2): IDA pay scale Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000; approximate annual CTC at minimum scale is Rs. 15.51 lakh.
• Project Superintendent: Approximate consolidated pay is Rs. 1,85,000 per month.
• Deputy Project Superintendent: Approximate consolidated pay is Rs. 1,70,000 per month.
• Deputy Project Officer posts: CTC is Rs. 90,000 per month with a retention incentive of Rs. 2,500 on CTC for every year till contract closure.
• Benefits: Permanent officers get IDA, HRA, cafeteria allowance, CPF, gratuity, medical reimbursement, leave encashment, and other admissible benefits.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

HSL will shortlist applicants based on essential qualification, post-qualification experience, grade service, and CTC criteria.

2. Shortlisting: If applications are high, HSL may shortlist up to 6 times the advertised vacancies.
3. Group Discussion / Screening: The selection process may include group discussion or preliminary screening interview.
