Jal Shakti Division Barsar under the Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Vibhag has released a notification for 10 Para Worker posts to operate and maintain water supply and irrigation schemes in the Barsar area. These posts have been allocated by the Engineer-in-Chief, Jal Shakti Vibhag, Shimla, to help the division keep local water supply and irrigation infrastructure running smoothly. These are part-time/hourly basis positions covering three post types — Para Pump Operator, Para Fitter, and Multipurpose Worker — and you will be expected to work flexible hours based on the operational needs of the scheme you are assigned to. Who Can Apply?

Jal Shakti Division Barsar is looking for candidates with basic mechanical and electrical trade training who can operate and maintain pumping and irrigation equipment. Since these are part-time/hourly posts, you do not need prior government experience, though experience marks do count toward your final score.

For Para Pump Operator:

• Qualification: You need Matriculation (10th Pass) with an ITI certificate in Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, or Pump Operator cum Mechanic trade from a recognized ITI, OR 10th Pass with a certificate in these trades under the government's Skill Development Scheme.

For Para Fitter:

• Qualification: You need Matriculation (10th Pass) with an ITI certificate in the Fitter trade from a recognized ITI, OR 10th Pass with a Fitter certificate under the Skill Development Scheme.

For Multipurpose Worker:

• Qualification: You need to have passed Middle (8th Class) from a school recognized by the Himachal Pradesh government.

• Domicile: Only Bonafide Himachali candidates are eligible to apply for these posts.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old as on 31 July 2026.

Salary

• Para Pump Operator: Rs. 7,100 per month (honorarium)

Selection Process

The selection will be done out of a total of 10 marks, based on:

No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the skill or physical test.
