HMT Limited, a Government of India PSU under the Department of Heavy Industry, is hiring for 5 posts on Fixed Term Appointment (FTA) basis. HMT Limited, a major engineering conglomerate with manufacturing units across India, has released advertisement HMT/CHR/FTA(ADVT.2)/2025-26 dated 13 March 2026 inviting applications from qualified professionals for engagement on Fixed Term Appointment (FTA) basis. The tenure is for two (2) years, extendable up to a maximum of two more years on yearly basis, subject to satisfactory performance. All positions are based at HMT Corporate Head Office, Bengaluru.

Who Can Apply?

Deputy Manager (Finance)

You need to be a CA / CMA / ICWA qualified professional with minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field. Proficiency in computer skills is essential.

Officer (Accounts)

You need to be a CA / CMA / ICWA qualified professional with minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field. Working knowledge of Tally / ERP software is essential.

Officer (Company Secretary)

You need to be a Graduate with ACS qualification or a qualified Company Secretary having membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) from a recognised University / College / Institute with good academic record. A Degree in Law (LLB) is desirable. You need minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience.

Officer (Legal)

You need a full-time LAW Graduate (LLB) degree from a recognised University / College / Institute with good academic record. You should have minimum 60% aggregate marks (all semesters / years of graduation) - relaxed to 50% for SC / ST candidates. You also need minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant legal field.

Only Indian Nationals may apply. Proficiency in computer skills is essential for all posts.

Age Limit

  • Deputy Manager (Finance): Maximum 35 years
  • Officer (Accounts / CS / Legal): Maximum 30 years

Salary

  • Deputy Manager (Finance): Grade PS IV, Pay Scale Rs 20,600-46,500 (2007 pay scale) - approximate CTC Rs 11.25 Lacs per annum
  • Officer (Accounts / CS / Legal): Grade PS III, Pay Scale Rs 16,400-40,500 (2007 pay scale) - approximate CTC Rs 8.90 Lacs per annum
  • FTA candidates will be placed at the minimum of the pay scale of the grade
  • Eligible for DA, HRA, PF and other statutory benefits as applicable to regular employees in the grade
  • Annual increment of 3% of Basic Pay admissible subject to satisfactory performance
  • Eligible for monthly and annual incentives, plus Group Insurance
  • Medical allowance: one month's basic pay per annum, paid monthly along with salary
  • 10 days casual leave and 2.5 days earned leave per calendar month (pro-rata)
  • A 5% surety amount is deducted monthly and refunded on completion of contract tenure without interest

Responsibilities

  • Handle overall finance functions of the Company including quarterly and annual financial statements, standalone and consolidated
  • Maintain professional relationships with Banks and Financial Institutions for company transactions
  • Manage Banking Transactions including e-payments, loans, Cash and Bills Section, TDS, Service Tax and statutory filings
  • Prepare Main Accounts, MIS, GoI Loans, Income Tax, GST Returns and IT Assessment matters
  • Follow up with Branch Auditors for clearance of Quarterly and Annual Accounts
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI Regulations and other applicable laws (for CS post)
  • Manage day-to-day legal matters, court cases, drafting agreements and vetting MoU / NDA (for Legal post)
  • Coordinate with Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit and Government Agencies

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification
