HLL Hindlabs Lab Technician Recruitment 2026: Overview

HLL Lifecare Limited (HLL), a Miniratna central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is holding a walk-in selection for its new Hindlabs Clinical Laboratory and Medical Imaging Centre at the company's Central Marketing Office (CMO) in Chennai. Hindlabs is HLL's Healthcare Services division, and it already runs diagnostic labs and CT/MRI scan centres in 15 states. The drive covers nine lab, imaging and support roles, all on a Fixed Term Contract rather than permanent employment. If you already have hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory, an X-ray or MRI unit, cardiac care or medical transcription, this is a chance to join a government-owned diagnostics network.

Posts and Disciplines

• Lab-in-Charge / Senior Lab Technician (SLT): the senior role that runs the clinical laboratory, open to DMLT, B.Sc MLT and M.Sc MLT holders with long lab experience.
• Medical Biochemist: a specialist post for M.Sc Biochemistry or Medical Biochemistry graduates with clinical lab work behind them.
• Medical Microbiologist: for M.Sc Microbiology or Medical Microbiology holders who have worked in a clinical lab.
• Lab Technician: the mid-level bench role for experienced DMLT and B.Sc MLT holders.
• Junior Lab Technician: the entry point for MLT holders with one to two years of clinical lab work.
• Radiographer: an imaging post that specifically needs MRI experience.
• X-Ray Technician: an imaging post that needs X-ray experience.
• Medical Transcriptionist: a reporting-support role for degree or diploma holders from medical diagnostic services.

Post-wise Duties

Laboratory Posts

The Lab-in-Charge, Biochemist, Microbiologist and Lab Technicians will work in the centre's clinical laboratory, handling patient samples and running tests in their own specialisation, with the senior technician looking after the lab's day-to-day running.

Imaging and Cardiac Posts

The Radiographer works on the MRI side, the X-Ray Technician on X-ray, and the Cardiac Technician supports cardiac diagnostic tests for patients visiting the centre.

Medical Transcriptionist

The Medical Transcriptionist turns doctors' dictated findings into typed diagnostic reports for the centre.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract: The appointment is on a Fixed Tenure Contract basis, not a regular HLL post.
• Council registration: Every one of the nine posts needs a valid State Paramedical Council registration.
• Posting: The centre is in Chennai, but the place of posting may change as per business requirements, and HLL management decides the final location.
• Screening at the venue: Only candidates who meet the qualification and experience conditions will be allowed into the tests. If you cannot show your original documents, you will not be allowed to sit the selection test.
• Pay figures: The ranges in the notice are basic pay ranges, not total take-home pay.
• Canvassing: Any form of canvassing leads to disqualification.
