About This Job

Apply for Gyan Sahayak (Madhyamik & Ucchatar Madhyamik) posts in Gujarat. TAT qualified graduates eligible. Salary Rs 24,000-26,000. Last date: 30 Jul 2026.

Samagra Shiksha Gujarat is hiring Gyan Sahayak (Madhyamik) and Gyan Sahayak (Ucchatar Madhyamik) teachers for government and grant-in-aid schools across Gujarat, under a second-round vacancy drive. If you have cleared the district-level TAT (Teacher Aptitude Test) for Madhyamik or Ucchatar Madhyamik, along with a relevant Bachelor's degree and B.Ed, you can apply online. The last date to apply is 30 July 2026. Salary is Rs. 24,000 per month for Madhyamik and Rs. 26,000 per month for Ucchatar Madhyamik, on an 11-month contract.

Samagra Shiksha Gujarat Gyan Sahayak Recruitment 2026 - Second Round

The Education Department, Government of Gujarat, under its Samagra Shiksha (Gyan Sahayak Yojana) scheme, has opened the second round of online applications for filling vacant Gyan Sahayak posts at the Secondary (Madhyamik) and Higher Secondary (Ucchatar Madhyamik) levels. The scheme exists to quickly place qualified, TAT-passed teachers into schools that have a shortage of subject teachers, without waiting for a lengthy full-scale recruitment cycle. These are fixed-honorarium contract positions for 11 months in government and grant-in-aid schools spread across all districts of Gujarat. Selection is based entirely on your existing TAT merit score — there is no fresh written test or interview round for this scheme. This second round is meant for TAT-qualified candidates who could not get a school allotment in the first round, or who are applying fresh for vacancies that have now opened up across districts. The department has already published district-wise provisional merit lists and vacancy lists separately for Secondary and Higher Secondary posts on the official portal, along with the list of document verification centres for each district.

Who Can Apply?

For Gyan Sahayak (Madhyamik) - Rs. 24,000/month:

  • Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or an equivalent professional teaching qualification.
  • You must have cleared the District-level TAT (Madhyamik) examination for your subject.

For Gyan Sahayak (Ucchatar Madhyamik) - Rs. 26,000/month:

  • Qualification: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in the relevant subject, along with a B.Ed or an equivalent professional teaching qualification.
  • You must have cleared the District-level TAT (Ucchatar Madhyamik) examination for your subject.

Both posts are open only to candidates who already hold a valid TAT qualification for the relevant level — this recruitment window does not accept fresh TAT registrations or new TAT exam applications. If you already applied in an earlier Gyan Sahayak round and were not allotted a school, you can use this window to apply again for the current list of vacant posts. Your final placement depends on your TAT merit rank, the subject you are qualified in, and your preferred district or school choice at the time of document verification.

Age Limit

  • Gyan Sahayak (Madhyamik): Maximum age is 48 years as on the last date of the online application.
  • Gyan Sahayak (Ucchatar Madhyamik): Maximum age is 50 years as on the last date of the online application.

Salary

  • Gyan Sahayak (Madhyamik): Fixed pay of Rs. 24,000 per month.
  • Gyan Sahayak (Ucchatar Madhyamik): Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month.
  • This is a fixed honorarium for an 11-month contract — it does not carry the regular government pay-scale benefits like DA, HRA or pension that permanent teachers get.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for Gyan Sahayak posts happens in 2 steps:

  1. Merit List Based on TAT Score: Your rank is decided using your existing District-level TAT (Madhyamik/Ucchatar Madhyamik) score. There is no fresh written test conducted for this recruitment round.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must visit the designated verification centre in their district with original documents to confirm eligibility and choose a school as per merit and district preference.

Your name will appear in the provisional merit list published district-wise on the portal once the application window closes. Check the list carefully and raise any discrepancy at the document verification stage.
