Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold a post-graduate degree in Nursing from a recognised university established under the Central or State Act, or any institution recognised as such under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, and recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.
• Experience: You need at least 15 years of experience after the post-graduate degree in Nursing, out of which at least 12 years must be teaching experience. A minimum of 5 years of teaching must be in a recognised Nursing College on a post not below the rank of Lecturer (Class-II).
• Computer Knowledge: You must possess basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services (CCR) Rules, 1967.
• Language: You should have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Registration: The selected candidate must register with the Gujarat Nursing Council as a registered Nurse or Midwife (or equivalent) at the time of joining, if not already registered.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 47 years (calculated as on the last date of online application).
• Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST/SEBC/EWS (Gujarat origin): 5 years (maximum up to 45 years)
• Women candidates - SC/ST/SEBC/EWS (Gujarat origin): 10 years (maximum up to 45 years)

Salary

• Pay Scale: 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-12
• Pay range: Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Gujarat Government rules

Selection Process

The selection will be done in two stages:

1. Preliminary Test: One paper of 300 marks in total - General Studies (100 marks) and Concerned Subject (200 marks). Duration is 180 minutes. You must score at least 15% marks in the preliminary test to be eligible for the interview.
2. Personal Interview: Final selection is based on marks scored. Number of candidates called for interview: 10 (if 1 post), 16 (if 2 posts), 18 (if 3 posts), or 3x posts / 20 (whichever is higher) for 4 or more posts.

Preliminary Exam Dates: General Studies on 26 July 2026, Concerned Subject on 11 August 2026.

2. Click on "Online Application" and then "Apply" against Advertisement No. 8/2026-27.
3. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) using your date of birth and personal details.
4. Fill in personal, communication, education, and experience details in the application form.
5. Upload your passport-size photo (5 cm x 3.6 cm) and signature (2.5 cm x 7.5 cm) in JPG format.
6. Submit the application and note your Application Number and Confirmation Number.
7. Pay the application fee online or take a printed challan to the nearest Post Office.
8. Take a printout of the confirmed application for your records.

Government servants must also submit an experience certificate in the prescribed format available on the GPSC website.
