Selection Process

The selection will be done through preliminary test and interview. GPSC will shortlist candidates for the interview after checking applications based on preliminary test marks.

1. Preliminary Test: The test has 300 questions for 300 marks. It includes 100 questions from General Studies and 200 questions from the concerned subject. You get 180 minutes.
2. Minimum Marks: If you score less than 15% in the preliminary test, you will not be considered for interview.
3. Interview: For 1 vacancy, up to 10 candidates can be called for interview as per GPSC norms.
4. Final Merit: Preliminary test marks carry 50% weightage and interview marks carry 50% weightage.
5. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must upload required certificates on the GPSC IASS portal when GPSC asks for them.
