Educational Qualification

• Degree: You must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or an equivalent institution.
• Management Qualification: You need a Post Graduate Diploma or Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
• Experience: You need at least 5 years of combined or separate experience in Government, local bodies, government undertakings, boards, corporations, or companies on a post not below the rank of Manager, Class-I in Gujarat Maritime Board after getting the required educational qualifications.
• Computer Knowledge: You must have basic computer knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment rules.
• Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through preliminary test and interview. GPSC will call candidates for interview after checking applications based on preliminary test marks.

1. Preliminary Test: The test has 300 questions for 300 marks. It includes 100 questions from General Studies and 200 questions from the concerned subject. You get 180 minutes.
2. Minimum Marks: If you score less than 15% in the preliminary test, GPSC will not consider you for interview.
3. Interview: For 1 vacancy, up to 10 candidates can be called for interview as per GPSC norms.
4. Final Merit: GPSC gives 50% weightage to preliminary test marks and 50% weightage to interview marks.
5. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must upload qualification, experience, category, and PwD documents when GPSC asks for them.
