GNDU was established by the Punjab State Legislature in 1969 and runs several constituent and affiliated colleges across the state. The engagement is on a two-year contract, extendable on a yearly basis until the candidate turns 70 years old. This role suits experienced academic administrators — current or retired college Principals and university Professors — who can manage the day-to-day academic and administrative functioning of an assigned college.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a serving or retired approved Principal of a college affiliated to a Punjab State University, or a serving or retired Professor of a University.
• Tenure: The initial appointment is for two years on contract, extendable yearly until you reach 70 years of age.
• If you apply against a reserved category post, you must attach your latest Punjab Domicile or Residence Certificate.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fixed pay of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• If you are a pensioner, you will get the fixed pay or your last pay drawn minus your pension, whichever is lower.
