Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of appointment: purely contractual — one year at first, extendable annually for a maximum of three years subject to a satisfactory appraisal report, or till regular appointments are made.
• Reservation: as per Uttarakhand Government rules.
• Eligibility standard: essential qualification follows the latest National Medical Commission (NMC) teacher norms read with State Government policy, so the panel checks your degree and council registration against those rules on the interview day itself.
• Teaching and research courses: BCME (Basic Course in Medical Education) and BCBR (Basic Course in Biomedical Research) are mandatory for the Professor and Associate Professor posts.

• Serving doctors: government employees must bring a No Objection Certificate from their employer; candidates in private or non-government institutions give an undertaking that they are not government servants and are under no service bond.
