Kannur University, the state university that serves the northern districts of Kerala, is taking a Swimming Coach for the swimming pool run by its Directorate of Physical Education at the Mangattuparamba Campus. This is a single coaching post, so the university is looking for someone who can run the pool's training programme on their own — plan sessions for student swimmers, keep the water discipline tight and be present at the pool through the season. • Nature of engagement: contract appointment for one year under the Directorate of Physical Education — it gives you no claim to a regular post in Kannur University.

• Qualification preference: candidates holding the NSNIS diploma in swimming are considered first; those with a certificate course in swimming or a coaching qualification with sport specialisation in swimming come into the reckoning only if no diploma holder applies.
