GBPUAT Project Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview
Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) is engaging a Project Assistant in the Department of Aquaculture, College of Fisheries, at Pantnagar. The role supports a DBT-backed study on bioceutical-incorporated fish feed designed to improve immunomodulation and growth in cultivable fish stocks of the lower and middle Central Himalayas. This is an applied fisheries-research assignment, bringing together aquaculture, feed development, fish health and computer-based research records. If you have studied fisheries and want experience inside a university project, the work offers direct exposure to laboratory and project coordination under the principal investigator.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project-linked engagement: the fellowship is tied to Project Code 8054 and continues only while the project and its staffing need remain active.
- Review arrangement: the initial appointment is for six months and may be extended after review; the overall fellowship is limited to the project period stated in the notice.
- Category: the Project Assistant fellowship is notified as unreserved.
- Relevant background: practical exposure to fisheries work and computer skills receives preference because both areas support the project's daily research and reporting needs.
- Interview communication: the university will not issue a separate interview letter, so you must rely on the schedule printed in the advertisement.
- Travel support: no TA or DA is paid for attending the interview.
- Original records: the university checks original academic and experience records at the interview before accepting the candidature.
- Correspondence: the notice says the university will not entertain interim queries during the process.
