Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, was established by the Government of Odisha under the Odisha Universities Act, 1989, and is recognized as a full-fledged state university. Its PG Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology has invited applications for 1 Project Associate position in a research project titled "Self-powered wearable devices and drug delivery systems with biosensors for continuous healthcare monitoring." The project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under its ANRF-PAIR scheme, and is led by a Principal Investigator in the department. If selected, you will work on biosensor technology, wearable devices, and drug delivery systems aimed at continuous patient health monitoring — a growing area in healthcare research. Candidates with NET/GATE qualification or expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics will have an added advantage during shortlisting.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
• Desirable: CSIR/UGC-NET (JRF/LS/PhD) or GATE qualification.
• Desirable: Selection through a national-level exam for PhD conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, ISI, IISER, or NISER.
• Desirable: Expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 30,000 per month.
• This is a project position for 1 year, likely to be extended depending on project requirements and performance.

Selection Process

The selection has two stages:

1. Screening of Bio-data: Your application and certificates are reviewed against the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The schedule will be shared by email.
