Who Can Apply?

For Research Engineer (Level 10 - Rs. 56,100/month):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (65% marks) with 5 years of relevant experience in two-phase/multi-phase flow research or CFD in Thermal & Fluids Engineering, OR M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (65% marks) with 3 years of relevant experience.

For Junior Research Engineer (Level 8 - Rs. 47,600/month):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (65% marks) in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical/Electrical & Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (and allied disciplines) from a UGC/AICTE recognized institution.
• Freshers can apply — no experience needed for Junior Research Engineer posts.
• Candidates awaiting final results can also apply, provided they upload marksheets and degree certificates by 31 August 2026.

SC/ST candidates get a relaxed minimum of 60% marks in their qualifying degree.

Age Limit

• Research Engineer: Upper age limit is 35 years (UR), 38 years (OBC), and 40 years (SC) as on the closing date, 24 August 2026.
• Junior Research Engineer: Upper age limit is 30 years (UR/EWS), 33 years (OBC), and 35 years (SC/ST) as on 24 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Regular employees of Government/Central Autonomous Bodies/PSUs get up to 5 years of relaxation.

Salary

• Research Engineer: Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month under Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Junior Research Engineer: Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month under Level 8 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1,180 (Rs. 1,000 plus 18% GST) per post, paid online.
• Women / SC / ST / PwBD: No fee
