Family Court Puri Counsellor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the District Judge, Puri has issued Advertisement No. 01 of 2026 for appointment to one Counsellor post in the Family Court at Puri, Odisha. The appointment is made by the Hon'ble High Court of Orissa, Cuttack under the Family Courts (Orissa) Rules, 1990. This is an important role for those with a background in social work, sociology, or psychology who want to contribute to family dispute resolution.

Who Can Apply?

• Primary Qualification: Master's Degree in Social Science (preferably Sociology or Psychology) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in family counselling.
• Alternative Qualification: If suitable candidates with a Master's degree are not available — persons above 35 years of age working in social service, welfare activities, or promoting the welfare of family and child care, who hold a degree (not Master's) in Social Science (preferably Sociology or Psychology), are also eligible.
• Language: You must be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed an Odia test equivalent to M.E. (Middle English) standard.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
• Character: You must be of good character and sound health, with no organic defect or bodily infirmity.
• Marital Status: You must not have more than one spouse living, if married.

Age Limit

9. Address the envelope to: The Registrar, Civil Courts, Puri and write "Application for the post of Counsellor" on the envelope.
