ECHS Ambala Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 — 100 Vacancies

Station HQ (ECHS), Ambala Cantt is hiring 100 medical and support staff across 20 posts -- from Medical Officers to Peons -- at ECHS Polyclinics in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Station Headquarters, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Ambala Cantt has released an employment notice to engage 100 Medical, Para-Medical and Non-Medical staff on a contractual basis at ECHS Polyclinics under its Area of Responsibility -- covering Ambala, Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Gohana, Kharkhoda, Naraingarh and Nahan. Posts include Medical Officer, Dental Officer, Medical Specialist, Gynaecologist, Radiologist, Nursing Assistant, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Laboratory Technician/Assistant, Radiographer, IT Technician, Driver, Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Receptionist, Peon, Chowkidar and Safaiwala. Reservation is given to Ex-Servicemen and War Widows (Veer Naris), and several posts are also open to civilians. Engagement is initially for 12/11 months, renewable until the maximum age limit for each post.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer (Rs. 95,000/month):

• MBBS with minimum 3 years experience after internship; additional qualification in Medicine/Surgery is preferred.

Medical Specialist, Gynaecologist, Radiologist (Rs. 1,30,000/month):

• MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty with 3 years experience after post-graduation (or 5 years after PG Diploma for Radiologist). DMC registration is mandatory for Radiologist.

Dental Officer:

• BDS with minimum 3 years experience.

Dental A/T/H, Nursing Assistant, Physiotherapist, Radiographer, Laboratory Assistant (Armed Forces trade courses):

• Relevant Armed Forces diploma/Class-1 course (Dental A/T/H, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Radiography or Lab Technician) plus 5 years of work experience.

Pharmacist (Rs. 36,500/month):

• B.Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institute, or 12th with Physics/Chemistry/Biology, plus 3 years experience.

Laboratory Technician:

• B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology, or 10th/12th with Science plus DMLT, with 3 years lab experience.

IT Technician:

• Diploma/Certificate in IT Networking and Computer Applications with knowledge of IT equipment, software installation and network maintenance, plus 2 years experience.

Driver (Rs. 25,600/month):

• 8th pass, Armed Forces Class-1 MT Driver trade, civil driving licence, plus 5 years driving experience.

Clerk (Rs. 29,200/month):

• Graduate or Armed Forces Class-1 Clerical trade, computer qualified, plus 5 years experience.

Data Entry Operator (Rs. 21,800-29,200/month):

• Same qualification level as Clerk; computer proficiency required.

Receptionist:

• Front-desk and communication skills as specified in the notification.

Peon, Chowkidar, Safaiwala (Rs. 21,800/month):

• 8th pass or Armed Forces General Duty trade (Safaiwala must be literate), plus 5 years experience.

Age Limit

• Medical Officer: Up to 66 years for initial employment, extendable up to 68 years on contract.
• Dental Officer: Up to 63 years, extendable up to 65 years.
• Medical Specialist/Gynaecologist/Radiologist: Up to 68 years, extendable up to 70 years.
• Dental A/T/H, Nursing Assistant, Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Lab Technician/Assistant, Radiographer, IT Technician: Up to 56 years, extendable up to 58 years.
• Driver, Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Receptionist, Peon, Chowkidar, Safaiwala: Up to 53 years, extendable up to 55 years.
• Reservation: Preference is given to Ex-Servicemen and War Widows (Veer Naris) of service personnel.

Salary

• Medical Officer: Rs. 95,000 per month (fixed).
• Medical Specialist/Gynaecologist/Radiologist: Rs. 1,30,000 per month (fixed).
• Pharmacist: Rs. 36,500 per month (fixed).
• Clerk/Data Entry Operator: Rs. 29,200 per month (Rs. 21,800 for some Data Entry Operator posts).
• Driver: Rs. 25,600 per month.
• Peon/Chowkidar/Safaiwala: Rs. 21,800 per month.
• These are fixed contractual remuneration amounts -- no separate DA/HRA is mentioned.

Selection Process

ECHS Ambala Cantt will select candidates in these stages:

1. Application Screening: Your physical application and documents are checked against the Qualitative Requirements for the post.
2. Telephonic Shortlisting: Only screened candidates who meet the requirements are called telephonically for the interview.
3. Interview: Held between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM from 21 September 2026 onwards (exact dates intimated later). Bring all original certificates and experience documents.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. Selected candidates for Medical Specialist, Radiologist, Gynaecologist and Dental Officer posts must complete 10 days of On Job Training (OJT)/handover and get a certificate from the Medical Officer In-Charge before signing the contract.

3. Attach self-attested photocopies of your education certificates, PAN card, Aadhaar card and work experience proof.
4. Attach original Medical Category certificate signed by SEMO/CMO and a Character certificate.
5. If you are currently working with an Army establishment, attach an NOC from your Station Cell.
6. ESM candidates must also attach a copy of the Discharge Book and PPO.
7. Submit the complete application to OIC, Station HQ (ECHS), Ambala Cantt by 11 August 2026, 1:30 PM. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.

• Coordinate with the Medical Officer In-Charge and other staff for smooth polyclinic operations
• Handle equipment, medicines and consumables as per your specialization
• Complete OJT/handover to learn polyclinic-specific procedures
• Maintain hygiene, safety and confidentiality standards at the workplace
