DU Research Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Department of Political Science, University of Delhi (DU) is hiring Research Assistants for a project titled "Tempering Tibetan Ecology by China and its implications on India". The project is funded by DU's Institute of Eminence (IoE) under its Faculty Research Programme Grant and is coordinated by Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh of the department.

This is a project-based research job, not a regular university post. It suits you if you hold a postgraduate degree in a social science subject and want hands-on research work on China, Tibet, ecology and India's strategic interests. Candidates with NET, M.Phil. or Ph.D. are preferred as per IoE norms.

Skills that will help you stand out: experience in literature reviews and data handling, comfort with qualitative or quantitative methods, some familiarity with ecology, and working knowledge of MS Office, NVivo and Stata.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Citizenship: Only Indian citizens can apply.
• Tenure: The positions are purely temporary and end with the project.
• Funding: Your position continues only as long as the IoE keeps funding the project.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee selection.
