The Directorate of Social Security and Women & Child Development, Punjab (commonly known as DSSWCD Punjab), headquartered at SCO 102-103, Sector-34A, Chandigarh, has released a newspaper advertisement inviting applications for 94 contractual positions under the POSHAN Abhiyaan scheme. These engagements are for one year (likely to be extended) and involve supporting Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and ICDS officials in using the CAS (Common Application Software) system for nutrition monitoring across Punjab.

Who Can Apply?

Consultant (Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation)

• PG degree/diploma in Management, Computer Applications, or Computer Science OR B.Tech/BE in IT/Computer Engineering OR PG in Science with formal IT training and at least 55% marks
• At least 3 years' experience in IT/ICT systems implementation and analysis
• Project management experience and knowledge of M&E methodologies
• Good computer skills and communication skills in English and local language
• Must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation or higher level

Project Associate

• Graduate in Computer Science or IT
• At least 2 years' work experience in the relevant field
• Formal training in IT/mobile applications
• Experience in working with technology and software application support
• Previous experience with front line workers in Government departments
• Computer literacy is mandatory
• Must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation or higher level

District Coordinator

• Graduate or Certification/Diploma in Computer Science or IT
• At least 2 years' experience in application maintenance and support
• Good oral and written communication in local language
• Computer literacy is mandatory; willingness to travel is a must
• Must be a resident of the concerned district
• Must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation or higher level

Block Coordinator

• Graduate from a recognized university
• At least 2 years' experience working with technology and software application support
• Good oral and written communication in local language
• Must be a resident of the concerned district
• Must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation or higher level

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 37 years
• Age as on: 1 January 2026
• Age relaxation for SC, BC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, and PwD candidates as per Punjab Government rules

Salary

• Consultant (PME): Rs 60,000 per month (consolidated)
• District Coordinator: Rs 30,000 per month (consolidated)
• Project Associate: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• Block Coordinator: Rs 20,000 per month (consolidated)

All salaries are consolidated and subject to performance. The contract is for one year, likely to be extended based on scheme continuation and satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for any of the four posts. Selection is purely merit-based using a 100-mark formula:

1. Essential Qualification (65 marks) — Your graduation/PG percentage is converted using the formula: Marks = (Percentage Obtained / 100) x 65
2. Relevant Higher Qualification (20 marks) — Additional marks for higher degrees relevant to the post: Marks = (Percentage Obtained / 100) x 20
3. Interview / Personal Interaction (15 marks) — Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interaction round

Minimum relevant work experience required: 2 years for Block Coordinator, District Coordinator, and Project Associate; 3 years for Consultant (PME).

• Support training of Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Supervisors in ICT-enabled Real Time Monitoring (ICT-RTM) systems
• Monitor usage of ICT-RTM by AWWs using CAS Reports and follow up on low usage at block level
• Handle in-person and phone troubleshooting for hardware or software issues with mobiles, tablets, and CAS application
• Log and manage issues in the Issue Tracker application as part of the CAS system
• Assist Block and District level ICDS officials in using the CAS system for nutrition data monitoring
• Prepare periodic progress reports covering tasks completed, issues, escalations, and risks
• Coordinate with OEMs and telecom companies for hardware replacement, repair, and issue resolution
• Follow up on actions from activity reports and provide performance feedback to AWWs
