DRDO PXE Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE), part of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is offering apprenticeship training at Chandipur in Balasore, Odisha. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training contract: Selected applicants must sign a contract for one year of training under the Apprentices Act and its rules. An apprenticeship offer does not give you a right to employment at PXE or DRDO.
• Living and travel arrangements: PXE will not provide accommodation or transport during training. It also will not pay travel or daily allowance for joining or attending the interview, so you need to plan for those costs yourself.
• Reservation: Reservation follows the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, with their amendments. The notice does not provide a separate category-wise roster for the advertised branches.
• Email communication: PXE will send correspondence and any offer letter by email only. Use an address you can access, check its spam or bulk-mail folder, and download and print your offer letter if selected.
• Recruitment changes: PXE can increase or reduce the training places and may withdraw the advertisement or cancel the process if circumstances warrant it.
• Correct information: Hiding facts can disqualify you during selection or afterwards. Canvassing or personal follow-up intended to influence selection also leads to cancellation of candidature.

Your National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) registration must be valid before you apply. Registration on that portal is a prerequisite; the PXE application itself must be typed and sent by Speed Post or Registered Post.
