DRDO INMAS Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 38 Posts

Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), functioning under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, has announced apprenticeship training for the Financial Year 2026-27. This one-year training programme covers 11 disciplines across three apprenticeship categories: Diploma Apprentice, ITI Apprentice, and Graduate Apprentice. Fresh pass-out candidates (2022 or later) from recognised institutions can apply. The highest number of openings are for B.Sc. graduates with 21 posts in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

Who Can Apply?

For Diploma Apprentice:

• You need a Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering, IT, Medical Laboratory Technology, Modern Office Practice, or Library & Information Science from a recognised institution.

For ITI Apprentice:

• You need an ITI certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or COPA from a recognised institute.

For Graduate Apprentice:

• You need a Bachelor's degree — B.Sc. (Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Computer Science), B. Pharma, or B.L.I.Sc. from a recognised university.

Important Eligibility Conditions:

• Fresh pass-outs only: You must have passed your qualifying exam in 2022 or later. If you passed before 2022, you are not eligible.
• Regular candidates only: You must have completed your course as a regular (full-time) student.
• No post-graduates: Candidates holding a post-graduation degree are not eligible.
• No prior experience: If you have had training or job experience of one year or more after getting your qualification, you cannot apply.
• NATS registration required: You must be registered and verified on the BOAT portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in before applying.

Stipend

• ITI Apprentices: Rs. 9,600 per month
• Diploma Apprentices: Rs. 10,900 per month
• Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 12,300 per month
• No accommodation or transport facility will be provided. No TA/DA for joining.

Application Fee

• No application fee — registration on the NATS portal is free for all categories.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection will be done in the following way:

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be selected purely on the basis of their marks or percentage in the essential qualifying examination. A board constituted by the Director of INMAS will review all applications.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will need to submit original certificates and a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.

Only selected candidates will be informed. Reservation will be applied as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.

How to Apply

1. Go to the BOAT/NATS portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and register yourself if you have not already.
2. Get your profile verified by your Regional Board of Apprenticeship Training.
3. Search for the establishment INMAS / Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences with user ID NDLNOC000005 on the portal.
4. Apply for the apprenticeship in your relevant trade or discipline.
5. Make sure all your details and documents are correct before submitting.

Candidates with Technical/Engineering subjects must apply through the INMAS establishment on the NATS portal.
