DRDO DEBEL Paid Internship 2026 - 8 Posts

Defence Bio Engineering and Electro Medical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bengaluru, a premier institute of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has released advertisement number DEBEL/HRD/PDINTERN/2026/01 inviting applications for paid internships from meritorious students. The internship will be conducted offline at DEBEL, Bangalore for a tenure of 6 months. Selection will be strictly on merit basis using CGPA up to 5th semester, followed by interview/interaction if required. The number of positions is indicative and may change at the discretion of the establishment.

For Science Students:

• Students entering PG Final Year in Academic Year 2026-27
• Pursuing full-time courses from AICTE / UGC approved Indian universities / institutes
• Disciplines: Polymer Science, Chemistry, Physics

You must obtain a permission letter from your college on letterhead allowing you to attend the 6-month internship.

Stipend and Internship Terms

• Total stipend: Rs. 30,000 for the full 6-month internship
• Payment is made in two equal installments:
  • Rs. 15,000 after successful completion of the first 3 months
  • Rs. 15,000 after completion of the 6-month tenure
• Payments are credited directly to the student's bank account
• No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible
• If you leave the internship before 3 months, no payment will be made and no Certificate of Completion will be issued
• Biometric-based attendance is mandatory during the internship

Selection Process (Merit-Based)

Selection is strictly on merit basis as follows:

1. Merit Screening: Based on CGPA up to 5th semester (UG) or 1st semester (PG)
2. Interview / Interaction: If required, conducted by phone or video conference
3. Document Verification: Original documents to be verified at the time of joining

2. Fill in the application form completely with all personal, academic and contact details
3. Attach copies of mark sheets, a permission letter from your college on letterhead, and a copy of your GATE score (if any)
4. Affix a recent passport size photograph and sign the form
5. Write "Application for Paid Internship" along with the relevant Discipline on top of the envelope

Important Dates

• Internship Duration: 6 months from the date of joining

• Work on assigned research and project tasks at DEBEL under the guidance of a supervisor
• Attend the laboratory in offline mode at DEBEL, Bengaluru for the full 6-month tenure
• Maintain biometric-based daily attendance and adhere to laboratory timings
• Follow all DRDO security, IT and cyber-security guidelines including the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
• Maintain strict confidentiality of any sensitive or proprietary information accessed
• Complete project work and submit a project report before completion
• Clear the project evaluation to receive the Certificate of Completion
• Take responsibility for any equipment / instruments used during the internship
