Directorate of Tourism (DoT), Government of Maharashtra has advertised short-term contract faculty posts at SSMIHMCT Solapur for 11 months. Who Can Apply?

Principal

• Qualification: Post-graduation from a recognised university plus full-time degree or three-year diploma in Hotel Administration, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Hospitality Administration, Culinary Arts, or Culinary Science with at least 55% marks.
• Experience: At least 20 years in teaching, or teaching plus hotel industry, as detailed in the eligibility criteria.
• Administrative Work: At least 3 years as Head of Department or equivalent, or recognised principal-level/administrative experience as per rules.
• Desirable: Ph.D. degree.

Senior Lecturer

• Qualification: Post Graduate in Hospitality/Tourism or MBA plus full-time degree or three-year diploma in the hotel/hospitality/culinary stream with at least 55% marks.
• Experience: At least 10 years of teaching and hotel industry experience together, including required teaching or hotel supervisory experience.
• Desirable: Ph.D. degree and research papers in reputed journals.

Lecturer

• Qualification: Post Graduate in Hospitality/Tourism or MBA plus full-time degree or three-year diploma in Hotel Administration, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Hospitality Administration, Culinary Arts, or Culinary Science with at least 55% marks.
• Experience: At least 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Lecturer or equivalent, or 7 years total teaching and industry experience including relevant teaching/training experience.
• Desirable: Ph.D. degree.

Assistant Lecturer

• Category A: Post Graduate in Hospitality/Tourism or MBA plus full-time degree/three-year diploma in the hotel or culinary stream with at least 55% marks. NHTET qualification is mandatory unless exempted by Ph.D. rules.
• Category B: Full-time Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, or Culinary Art with at least 55% marks, at least 2 years hospitality industry experience, and NHTET qualification.
• Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates with a Ph.D. in hospitality-related subjects after the prescribed qualification need not qualify NHTET.

Age Limit

• Principal: Not exceeding 53 years.
• Senior Lecturer: Not exceeding 45 years.
• Lecturer: Not exceeding 40 years.
• Assistant Lecturer: Not exceeding 35 years.

Salary

• Principal: Rs. 1,20,000 per month consolidated salary.
