DNH&DD Ayurvedic Hospital Recruitment 2026: Overview

Directorate of Medical and Health Services, U.T. of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (DNH&DD) is filling Senior Medical Officer, Panchakarma Technician and Yoga Instructor posts for the new 100-bed Ayurvedic Hospital at Pati, Silvassa, set up under the National AYUSH Mission with support from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. These are short-term contract engagements, and most of the posts are for Panchakarma Technicians across three experience-based grades — Senior, Medium and Junior. Ayurveda and Yoga graduates and technicians from anywhere in India can apply.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Medical Officer: leads clinical care at the Ayurvedic hospital; needs a BAMS degree with an MD/MS in Panchakarma, Prasuti Tantra evum Stree Roga, Shalya Tantra, Kayachikitsa, Kaumarbhritya or Shalakya Tantra.
• Panchakarma Technician (Senior): the most experienced Panchakarma therapy technicians, with separate posts for male and female candidates.
• Panchakarma Technician (Medium): mid-level Panchakarma therapy technicians, also with separate posts for male and female candidates.
• Panchakarma Technician (Junior): entry-level Panchakarma therapy technicians — the largest group of posts in this drive.
• Yoga Instructor: conducts yoga sessions and therapy support for hospital patients.

Post-wise Duties

Senior Medical Officer

You will oversee patient diagnosis and treatment planning using Panchakarma and other Ayurvedic therapies, and guide the technician team through daily clinical work.

Panchakarma Technician (Senior / Medium / Junior)

You will administer Panchakarma procedures such as Abhyanga, Swedana, Basti and Nasya under the supervising doctor's direction, and maintain patient therapy records.

Yoga Instructor

You will conduct yoga and pranayama sessions for admitted patients as part of their treatment plan, and guide them on posture and breathing technique.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement type: All posts are on a short-term contract basis for the Ayurvedic hospital project; they are not regular government appointments.
• Selection mode: Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam.
• Interview expenses: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided to candidates as per availability and government rules.
• Registration: The Senior Medical Officer must be enrolled on the Central Register or a State Register of the Indian System of Medicine.

• Provide Panchakarma therapy and other Ayurvedic treatment procedures to admitted patients under medical supervision
• Maintain accurate patient treatment and therapy records
• Assist the Senior Medical Officer with diagnosis, treatment planning and ward rounds
• Conduct yoga and pranayama sessions as part of patients' treatment plans
• Follow hospital hygiene, safety and infection-control protocols
• Coordinate with hospital staff for patient care, referrals and emergency support
• Maintain and use Panchakarma therapy equipment and consumables responsibly
