DLSA Sonitpur Driver Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the District Legal Services Authority, Sonitpur (under the District & Sessions Judge-Cum-Chairman, Sonitpur, Tezpur) has issued Advertisement No. 03/2026 for one Driver post on contractual engagement. The application is offline only — you need to drop the duly filled standard form along with documents in a designated drop box at the DLSA office in Tezpur. Selection is through a Driving Test followed by Viva-Voce.

Who Can Apply?

• You must be an Indian citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Qualification: Minimum Class VIII passed and maximum Class X standard.
• Driving License: You must hold a valid driving license to drive LMV / four-wheeler vehicles for at least the last 2 years.
• You must have registered your name in the Employment Exchange — mention the registration number and date in your application.
• Government servants must apply through proper channel.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 40 years as on 01-01-2026
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years (up to 45 years)
  • OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 43 years)
• Copy of the reservation category certificate from the competent authority must be submitted with the application.

Salary

• Monthly Salary: Rs. 15,000 (Fixed pay)
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the recruitment process.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Driving Test: Practical driving test conducted at District Judiciary, Sonitpur.
2. Viva-Voce: Personal interview after the driving test.

The list of eligible candidates and the date of interview will be uploaded on sonitpur.dcourts.gov.in. No separate call letters will be issued.

How to Apply

1. Download the application format and instructions from sonitpur.dcourts.gov.in.
2. Fill the standard form and self-attest copies of all testimonials — Educational Qualification, Age proof, Caste certificate (if applicable), Experience certificate (if any), Employment Exchange Registration Card.
3. Attach 3 recent passport size photographs signed on the reverse side.
4. Address the envelope to The District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Sonitpur, Assam, PIN-784001.
5. Drop the envelope in the drop box labelled 'DROP BOX OF APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER (Contractual basis)' at the DLSA Sonitpur office premises between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on working days.
6. The drop-box window is open from 15-05-2026 to 30-05-2026.

• Maintain the vehicle in good running condition and keep daily log books
• Follow traffic rules and ensure timely pick-up and drop of officials
• Report mechanical issues, accidents and damage to the office immediately
• Keep vehicle documents (RC, Insurance, Pollution, License) updated
• Support office staff for movement of files and documents when required
• Be available for outstation duty as and when assigned
