Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, has issued Notice No. EDN/SS/DIU/STC-PGT/RECRUITMENT/2026-27/237 dated 28 July 2026 under the Samagra Shiksha scheme (a Centrally Sponsored Scheme) to engage 5 PGTs on a Short Term Contract basis for the 2026-27 academic year. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a recognized university, plus a B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• Or: Postgraduate degree with at least 50% marks plus a B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
• For medium-specific teachers, your medium of study in SSC (10th standard) must match the medium you are applying to teach in — this condition does not apply to language subjects like Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi or English.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 30 years as on the last date of application (10 August 2026).
• Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable as per orders/guidelines issued by the Central Government from time to time.

Salary

• You will get a fixed remuneration of Rs. 29,000 per month for all five subjects.
• This is a Short Term Contract (STC) engagement — no other leave or allowances are mentioned in the notice.

Selection Process

Your selection will happen on the same day as the walk-in, in these steps:

1. Written Test: You will take a written test on the day of the walk-in, before the interview. You need to score at least 40% marks to qualify for the interview.
2. Document Verification: Bring original documents and self-attested copies of all relevant certificates for verification.
3. Interview: Your final selection depends on your performance in the interview.

The selected candidates will have no claim or right for regular appointment in the Department, and the engagement will end automatically upon completion of the contract period.
