Responsibilities

  • Handle calls and walk-in cases at the Railway or Bus Stand Child Help Desk
  • Identify children in need of care and protection at railway stations and bus stands
  • Coordinate with police, railway staff, and Child Welfare Committee for rescue operations
  • Maintain records of children rescued, counselled, and referred for further support
  • Provide first-level counselling and support to distressed children
  • Prepare reports and case files as directed by the District Child Protection Officer
  • Refer serious cases to the Child Welfare Committee or appropriate authorities
  • Assist in organizing awareness programs on child protection and safety
