The District Child Protection Unit, Darbhanga has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for temporary empanelment of Support Persons. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You should have postgraduate qualification in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, Psychology, Child Development, or Law.
• Alternate Route: Graduates from any discipline can apply if they have a diploma in child rights or counselling and three years of work experience.
• Experience: Experience should be in child rights, child protection, legal work, social work, child psychology, counselling, sociology, child development, or law-related work.
• Preference: Work experience with DLSA, Bihar State Legal Services Authority, District Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, POCSO Court, Childline, or Child Helpline services will be preferred.
• Residence: You must be a resident of Darbhanga district.
• Character Requirement: Your background should be clean. You should not have a criminal case or moral turpitude issue, and you should not be blacklisted by a child protection or child development organisation.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 30 years.
• Maximum age: 65 years.
• Age will be counted from the date of advertisement.
• The upper age condition is linked to selection of members of the State Child Welfare Committee.

Honorarium

• Support Persons will get Rs. 9,000 per POCSO case.
• The amount will be paid in three instalments as mentioned in the notice.
