CUTN Research Associate Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), established by an Act of Parliament in 2009, has released a notification dated 5 May 2026 for 1 Research Associate position under the ICSSR Special Call for Collaborative Research Proposals on Longitudinal Studies in Social and Human Sciences. The project is titled "Longitudinal Impact of Gender Affirming Endocrine Interventions on the Mental Health and Well-Being of Transgender Youths — A Yardstick Approach". The position is purely temporary for a duration of 39 months or until project completion (whichever is earlier).

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have a PhD / M.Phil / MBA / Post-graduate degree in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, along with NET qualification.

Desired Qualification

• Proficiency in analytical software like SPSS, AMOS, R, Python, MATLAB, NVivo, and web scraping tools
• Minimum 2 years of experience in research work or in a research project of similar nature

Mandatory Requirement

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 47,000 per month.
• This is a fixed monthly amount — no separate DA, HRA, or other allowances are paid on top.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on a single-stage process:

1. Shortlisting: Eligible applications are shortlisted based on the qualification and research experience submitted.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview by the duly constituted selection committee. Interview details are sent through email only.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and self-attested copies of all certificates must be presented before the interview.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the selection committee is final.
