Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is hiring 3 Guest Faculty for its B.Voc programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Centre for Skill Development, Thiruvarur. Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Centre for Skill Development at Central University of Tamil Nadu has invited applications for Guest Faculty positions to teach its B.Voc course in Tourism and Hospitality Management for the 2026-27 academic year. This is an hourly-paid, temporary engagement — there is no permanent position, and the appointment lasts for one semester or six months. Superannuated (retired) teachers up to 70 years of age can also apply for this Guest Faculty role, an option not commonly available in regular teaching recruitment. The University has clarified that the number of vacancies is tentative and may be increased, decreased, or filled at its discretion.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field, from an Indian University or an equivalent foreign degree.
• Additional Requirement: You must also have SLET/NET/Ph.D. and/or industrial experience in the subject.
• Retired Teachers: Superannuated teachers can also be considered for this Guest Faculty engagement, up to 70 years of age.

Age Limit

• No standard minimum age limit is specified, but superannuated (retired) teachers can apply up to 70 years of age for this Guest Faculty engagement.

Salary

• You will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 500 per teaching hour, subject to a maximum of Rs. 25,000 per month (except for Tamil Language subjects).
• As Guest Faculty, you will not get allowances, pension, gratuity, or leave benefits that are given to regular teachers.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is done directly through a walk-in interview — there is no separate written exam.

2. Walk-in Interview: Held on 6 August 2026 at the Centre for Skill Development, CUTN, Thiruvarur.
