CUSB CRS Project Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is recruiting a CRS Project Fellow for a materials-physics study in its Department of Physics at Gaya. The project is supported by the UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research and examines how cation disorder affects magnetic structure and variable-range hopping transport in a mixed B-site rare-earth perovskite. This is a research appointment tied to the funded project, not a regular university teaching post.

The work combines experimental solid-state physics with neutron-diffraction analysis. It suits a recent Physics postgraduate who wants hands-on research experience and is ready to work across university and consortium facilities. The selected fellow is expected to join the project full time and move toward Ph.D. registration in Physics within a reasonable period after joining.

Posts and Disciplines

• CRS Project Fellow Junior-I: the entry route is for a recent M.Sc Physics graduate who meets the required academic standard.
• CRS Project Fellow Junior-II: this route is for a recent M.Sc Physics graduate who also holds one of the accepted national research or lectureship qualifications.

The notification provides one fellowship position that may be filled at Junior-I or Junior-II level according to the selected candidate's credentials. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: the initial engagement is for the project period stated by CUSB and may continue for up to three years, subject to performance review and available funds.
• Co-terminus appointment: the fellowship ends with the project and follows the funding agency's conditions together with CUSB rules.
• Single fellowship: the selected fellow must work on the project full time and may receive a fellowship from only one source.
• Research travel: part of the work must be carried out at UGC-DAE CSR facilities in Indore and Mumbai.
• Interview expense: CUSB will not pay TA or DA for attending the interview.
• Performance: continuation depends on satisfactory work, review and the availability of project funding.
