Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput has invited candidates for a walk-in interview to engage Guest Faculty in the Department of Hindi for the Monsoon Semester 2026-27. This is a temporary teaching engagement for one semester that may be extended for a second semester if your performance is satisfactory, but it ends as soon as a regular faculty member joins the post. No written test is held — your selection depends only on how you perform in the interview. CUO regularly runs similar walk-in drives to hire Guest Faculty across departments, so this Hindi posting is part of a wider ongoing recruitment cycle at the university. CUO was established under the Act of Parliament, 2009 and is located at Sunabeda in Koraput district of Odisha.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in Hindi or a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Additional Requirement: You must have cleared NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, hold a Ph.D, or have qualified an accredited SLET/SET exam.
• Candidates will be called for the interview in two groups based on subject topics — one group is assessed on Hindi ki Sanrachana and Madhyakalin Hindi Kavya, and the other on Paschatya Kavya Shastra and Hindi Cinema, Sahitya aur Samaj.

Salary

• You will get an honorarium of Rs. 1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 per month.
• No other allowances, pension, gratuity or leave benefits are given to Guest Faculty — these are available only to regular teachers.
