CSIR – Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Bhubaneswar, is hiring 38 project staff — Project Associates, a Senior Project Associate, Project Assistants and Junior Research Fellows — across 37 sponsored research projects funded by CSIR, DST, the Ministry of Steel, the Ministry of Mines, DRDO and other agencies. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Purely temporary: Every position is on contract, co-terminus with its project's duration (projects run up to 2029) or a maximum of 6-7 years of cumulative engagement across CSIR projects, whichever is earlier — it does not lead to regularisation.
• Pay and age vary by post: Monthly emoluments range from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 42,000 plus HRA, and the upper age limit ranges from 28 to 50 years, depending on the post, role and qualification route — see the vacancy breakdown for exact figures.
• Result-awaiting candidates: Candidates awaiting their final results are not eligible to apply.
• Selection by walk-in interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a walk-in interview at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar, on a post-code-wise schedule; no separate call letter is issued by post.

• No TA/DA: The Institute does not reimburse travel for the interview, and engagement carries no right to future regular employment with CSIR.
