CSIR CEERI, Pilani is a CSIR research institute under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Who Can Apply?

For JRF Posts

• Qualification: You need B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, M.Sc, or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines as per the project row.
• Extra condition: For JRF, you must also have selection through CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or a national-level examination conducted by a central government department or approved agency/institution.

For SRF Posts

• Qualification: SRF needs JRF-level qualification with 2 years of research experience.
• Fallback option: If a suitable SRF candidate is not found, CEERI may consider JRF, Project Associate-I, or Project Associate-II candidates as mentioned in the project row.

For Project Associate-I and Project Associate-II

• Project Associate-I: B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc, or equivalent in the relevant discipline can apply for the listed projects.
• Project Associate-II: You need the relevant degree plus 2 years of R&D experience, or the higher degree route mentioned in the notification.
• Desirable skills for code 3393: Signal processing, image processing, AI, machine learning, deep learning, embedded systems, data fusion, C++, and Python.

Age Limit

• JRF: Upper age is generally 30 years for the JRF rows.
• SRF: Upper age is 32 or 35 years depending on the project row.
• Project Associate roles: Upper age can go up to 35 years.
• Age reference date: Age is counted as on the last date of online application, 25 June 2026.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is available as per the project row and CSIR/Government of India instructions for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, Third Gender, and women candidates.

Salary

• SRF: Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA.
• JRF: Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
• Project Associate-I: Rs. 31,000 for NET/GATE/national-exam route candidates, or Rs. 25,000 for others.
• Project Associate-II: Rs. 35,000 for NET/GATE/national-exam route candidates, or Rs. 28,000 for others.
• HRA: HRA will be paid as per CSIR guidelines and fund availability.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on screening and interview. The notification mentions online interview or in-person interview, and shortlisted candidates will receive details by email or through the institute website.

2. Shortlisting: The Standing Screening Committee may set project-wise criteria to shortlist candidates.
