CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), Hyderabad, is a premier research laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. It is a leading centre for frontier research in modern biology — covering genomics, cell biology, developmental biology, and related fields. Who Can Apply?

For Technician (1) — Pay Level-02

• Qualification: SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks + ITI Certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in a relevant trade; OR 2 years apprenticeship experience; OR 3 years relevant work experience in a specified trade

For Driver — Pay Level-02

• Qualification: Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognised Board + valid Commercial Driving Licence (LMV/HMV) as applicable
• Experience in driving light/heavy motor vehicles as per the CSIR recruitment rules

For Technical Officer — Pay Level-07

• Qualification: M.Sc. in a relevant field (Biotechnology, Zoology, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Agriculture, Botany, Hospitality Management, etc.) with minimum 55% marks; OR B.E./B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline with minimum 55% marks

Age Limit

• Technician (1): Maximum 28 years
• Driver: Maximum 27 years
• Technical Officer: Maximum 30 years
• Reference Date: Age is calculated as on 26 May 2026 (last date of receipt of online applications)
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories as per CSIR/Government of India guidelines

Salary

• Technician (1) & Driver: Pay Matrix Level-02 — approximate total emoluments of Rs. 39,545 per month including admissible allowances
• Technical Officer: Pay Matrix Level-07 — approximate total emoluments of Rs. 90,100 per month including admissible allowances
• Allowances include DA, HRA, TA and other benefits as per CSIR/Central Government norms

Selection Process

The selection will be done in multiple stages:

1. Written Exam: Objective-type written test to shortlist candidates
2. Skill Test: Practical/trade-based skill test relevant to the post applied for
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and documents will be checked
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass the medical fitness test as per CSIR norms
