Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
M.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences from a UGC-recognized university with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Preferred Qualification
Specialization in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Genetic Resources or Plant Science, with working experience in plant tissue culture, cryopreservation and molecular analysis.
Age Limit
Up to 35 years (as on 29 Sep 2026)
Age Relaxation:

Salary & Compensation
Pay Scale
With NET/GATE: Rs. 31,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000 in the third year. Without NET/GATE: Rs. 21,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 25,000 in the third year. HRA is additional in both cases.
Allowances
HRA is payable in addition to the fellowship amount.
