CONCOR Director (Project & Services) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), a Schedule 'A' Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, is filling its Board-level post of Director (Project & Services) through the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). CONCOR runs India's largest multimodal container logistics network, with four operating areas, nine cluster offices and 67 ICDs/CFSs across the country, and it is diversifying further into bulk cargo, warehousing and first-mile-last-mile logistics through joint ventures. The Director will steer the planning, design and technological upgradation of CONCOR's container terminals — including the push to indigenise handling equipment under the government's Atma Nirbhar Bharat scheme. Senior officers from CPSEs, Central Government Group A services, eligible PSU banks, or comparable private/JV companies can apply.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The appointment runs for five years from the date of joining, or until superannuation, whichever comes first.
• Residual service: Internal CPSE candidates need at least two years of residual service before turning 60; candidates from outside need at least three years.
• Employment status: You must be working in a regular (not contractual or ad-hoc) capacity in a CPSE, Central Government Group A service, an eligible State PSE, or a qualifying private company/JV at the time of application and interview.
• Absorption basis: Central Government officers, including those from the Armed Forces and All India Services, join on immediate absorption — they give up their parent-cadre lien on selection.
• Commitment: Backing out after the interview or after receiving the offer letter leads to a two-year debarment from Board-level CPSE selections.
• No relaxation: PESB does not entertain requests for relaxation in eligibility, age or the debarment conditions.

Applications go through PESB's online portal at pesb.gov.in and must be routed through the applicant's cadre-controlling authority, administrative ministry, or nodal officer before reaching PESB — direct postal or e-mail applications are rejected. Private-sector applicants apply directly to PESB and must attach three years of annual reports and proof of the company's listing status. Every forwarded application needs a vigilance clearance in the CVC's 13-point proforma.
