COEP Technological University (formerly College of Engineering, Pune) is one of India's oldest engineering institutes, established in 1854. It became a Unitary Public University of the Government of Maharashtra in 2022. The university is now looking for dynamic and qualified faculty members with a passion for research and academics to join on an 11-month contractual or tenured basis. Who Can Apply?

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline is mandatory
• Must meet UGC/AICTE norms for Associate Professor

Assistant Professor (Tenured / Contractual)

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, OR
• Post Graduation — M.E. / M.Tech / M.Sc / M.Phil / MBA in the relevant field
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply
• Adjunct Faculty currently working at COEP Technological University can also apply

Age Limit

• Candidates not already in the service of the university or affiliated colleges should not be more than 45 years of age
• Age relaxation as per Government of Maharashtra norms for reserved categories

Salary

These positions are on a consolidated salary basis for an 11-month period:

• Associate Professor: Rs 1,25,000 to Rs 1,50,000 per month
• Assistant Professor (Tenured): Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 1,20,000 per month
• Assistant Professor (Contractual): Rs 60,000 to Rs 80,000 per month

• Payment mode: Online through SBI I-Collect

Selection Process

1. Screening of Applications — based on eligibility and qualifications
2. Test and/or Interview — shortlisted candidates will be called for a test and/or interview conducted by the university
3. Document Verification — original documents will be verified before final selection

• Deliver lectures and conduct lab sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering, science, or management courses
• Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and evaluation papers as per the university curriculum
• Guide student projects, dissertations, and research work at B.Tech and M.Tech levels
• Assist in developing new academic programs and updating existing curricula
• Manage administrative duties assigned by the department, including examination and committee work
• Follow university regulations, attendance requirements, and academic deadlines
• Work on research publications and contribute to the department's research output
