About This Job
Centre for Management Development (CMD) Kerala is hiring 40 staff for the Drugs Control Department, Government of Kerala. This includes 30 Assistant Drugs Inspectors and 10 Data Entry Operators on contract basis. If you have a B.Pharm or a Bachelor's Degree with computer diploma, you can apply online. CMD Kerala Drugs Control Recruitment 2026 - 40 Posts
The Centre for Management Development (CMD) is an autonomous institution under the Government of Kerala. It has released notification number CMD/DCD/01/2026 for 40 contract posts to be deployed at the Drugs Control Department through CMD on outsourced basis. Posts are spread across all 14 districts of Kerala, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and more. B.Pharm graduates and graduates with computer diplomas can apply.

- Data Entry Operator: 10 posts (Thiruvananthapuram-5, Kollam-1, Ernakulam-1, Thrissur-1, Kozhikode-1, Kannur-1)
Who Can Apply?
For Assistant Drugs Inspector (Rs. 30,000/month)
- Qualification: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognised university
- Desirable: Higher qualification in relevant domain
- Skills required: Strong technical writing, good organisational skills, analytical and presentation skills, experience in developing training materials
For Data Entry Operator (Rs. 24,000/month)
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university
- Computer: PG Diploma in Computer Application or Diploma in Computer Application from a Government recognised institution
- Experience: Minimum 1 year as Data Entry Operator
- Computer skills: Good knowledge of MS Office and computer operations
- Desirable: KGTE Lower (English & Malayalam) and KGTE Higher (English) Typewriting Certificates. Preference for candidates with Government project experience.
Age Limit
- Assistant Drugs Inspector: Upper age limit 30 years
- Data Entry Operator: Upper age limit 40 years
- Cut-off date: Age and post-qualification experience are calculated as on 01 May 2026
Salary
- Assistant Drugs Inspector: Consolidated pay of Rs. 30,000 per month
- Data Entry Operator: Consolidated pay of Rs. 24,000 per month
- Term of Appointment (ADI): 17 months or up to project completion, extendable based on requirement
- Term of Appointment (DEO): 1 year or up to project completion, extendable based on requirement
Selection Process
CMD reserves the right to determine the selection process based on requirements. The process may include:

Responsibilities
- Assist enforcement wing officers in field inspections to check misuse of antimicrobials and psychotropic drugs
- Collect drug samples to detect not-of-standard-quality antimicrobials
- Support the One Health response to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in medicines regulation
- Implement the New Program on Return of Unused Drugs (nPROUD) across Kerala
- Help officers discharge duties under Rule 51 of Drugs Rules 1945, including legal matters and court proceedings
- Develop online portals for poison permits, drug allotment, RMS/Narcotic Drug allotment, and Drug Quality Monitoring (DEO)
- Prepare training materials, including online tools and multimedia posters
- Carry out tasks directed by the Drugs Controller or Controlling Authority
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree (B.Pharm for Assistant Drugs Inspector; any Graduate with PG Diploma/Diploma in Computer Application for Data Entry Operator)
Preferred Qualification
Higher qualification in relevant domain (ADI). KGTE Typewriting certificates and Government project experience (DEO).
