The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, a Deemed-to-be-University under UGC, has released notification dated 05 May 2026 for 3 faculty posts in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. The appointments will be on contract basis for one year, extendable based on performance. All 3 posts are in the Unreserved (UR) category. The selection is through screening of applications followed by interview — no written exam.

• Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade IV - 1 post (UR) | Post Code: Cons/06/Nuc. Med | Age limit: 50 years | PB-IV, GP 8700

Who Can Apply?

Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine):

• Qualification: MBBS (recognised under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956) AND MD in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
• Experience: Three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognised institution after MD
• Publications: Two original published papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals (at least one as first author)

Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade III & Grade IV:

• Qualification: MBBS (recognised under the Indian Medical Council Act 1956) AND MD in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent qualification
• Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge of computer is essential for all posts

Age Limit

• Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine): up to 50 years
• Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade III: up to 55 years
• Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade IV: up to 50 years
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 5 years for PwD (10 years for SC/ST PwD, 8 years for OBC PwD)

Salary

• Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine): Pay Band IV with Grade Pay Rs. 8,700 (pre-revised) — 7th CPC Pay Level 13
• Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade III: Pay Band IV with Grade Pay Rs. 9,500 (pre-revised) — 7th CPC Pay Level 14
• Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade IV: Pay Band IV with Grade Pay Rs. 8,700 (pre-revised) — 7th CPC Pay Level 13
• Plus Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance and other admissible allowances as per ILBS policy

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Application Screening: All applications are screened by a Screening Committee as per the Recruitment Rules of the post
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates based on higher qualification and experience
3. Document Verification: Original education and experience certificates are verified at the interview stage

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Nuclear Medicine
• Conduct nuclear medicine procedures including diagnostic imaging and therapy
• Guide research scholars and supervise dissertations on nuclear medicine topics
• Publish original research papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals
• Provide patient care and consultation in the Nuclear Medicine OPD and inpatient services
• Participate in academic committees, departmental meetings and institutional activities
• Maintain quality standards in nuclear medicine procedures as per AERB guidelines
