Chhattisgarh Karmchari Chayan Mandal (CGSSB), formerly known as Vyapam, has released a notification on behalf of the Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh, for 1,654 Teacher posts in Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Mathematics, Social Science and Agriculture. This is a written-exam-based recruitment known as LST26 (Likhit Shikshak Pariksha 2026), and CGSSB will conduct the exam simultaneously at 16 district headquarters across the state so candidates do not need to travel far. English has the highest number of vacancies at 504 posts — a great opportunity if you specialize in English teaching, followed by Sanskrit at 300 posts. Both freshers and experienced graduates with the right subject qualification can apply; there is no separate interview round, so your performance in the written exam alone decides your selection.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a graduate degree in the relevant subject along with B.Ed and a valid TET (Paper-II) pass certificate.
• Note: TET is not required for the Teacher (Agriculture) post — a relevant graduate qualification is enough.
• Domicile: Follow the departmental eligibility rules published by the Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh. Only meeting the eligibility conditions makes you eligible — merely filling the form or appearing for the exam does not.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates get relaxation up to a maximum age of 45 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month under Pay Matrix Level-6 (Non-Gazetted Class-3).
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Chhattisgarh government rules.

• Chhattisgarh-domicile candidates who appear for the exam get their exam fee refunded to the same bank account used for payment.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:

1. Written Exam (OMR Based): 100 objective questions for 100 marks in 2 hours. Each question has four options and negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for every wrong answer. No marks are given or deducted for unattempted questions, and if any question is later found defective, all candidates get equal bonus marks for it.
2. Document Verification: Your caste, date of birth, domicile, qualification and other certificates are checked by the appointing authority after the exam — not at the time of application.

CGSSB will hold the exam at coordinating colleges in these 16 districts: Sarguja (Ambikapur), Koriya (Baikunthpur), Bilaspur, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Durg, Jagdalpur (Bastar), Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur Nagar, Kanker, Kabirdham, Korba, Mahasamund, Raigarh, Raipur and Rajnandgaon.

How to Apply

1. Go to the CGSSB portal at vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in or cgssb.cgstate.gov.in.
2. Complete your Profile Registration first — you only need to do this once, and it is reused for all future CGSSB exams.
3. Log in and fill the online application form for the Teacher (LST26) exam.
4. Upload your photo and signature in the specified format — a light-background photo and your signature, each as a separate .jpg/.jpeg file between 50 KB and 100 KB.
5. Pay the exam fee online.
6. Click Submit and save a printout of your application for your records.
