Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 dated 17 June 2026 for 15 posts of Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer in the Home Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. These are permanent gazetted Class II posts. As a public prosecutor, you represent the state government in criminal cases before the district courts. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university.
• Domicile: Candidates who are residents of Chhattisgarh get age relaxation and reduced application fees.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 30 years old (base age limit).
• Chhattisgarh residents can apply up to 40 years.
• Age Relaxation: SC / ST / OBC candidates get 5 years, government employees can apply up to 38 years, and further relaxation applies for widowed or divorced women and ex-servicemen, up to a maximum of 45 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates get a salary in Pay Matrix Level 9 (Rs. 38,100 to Rs. 1,20,400 per month).
• You also get Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as per Chhattisgarh Government rules.

• Chhattisgarh SC / ST / OBC candidates: Rs. 300

Selection Process

The selection is done in two stages:

1. Written Examination (300 marks): An objective-type paper based on law and general studies. Candidates are shortlisted at around three times the number of vacancies for the interview.
2. Interview (30 marks): Shortlisted candidates face a personal interview. The final merit is based on the total of 330 marks.
