Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) Project Assistant Walk-in Interview 2026 - 1 Post

The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), under the Ministry of Ayush, has invited candidates for a Walk-in-Interview at its Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Silchar, Assam for one Project Assistant post under Advertisement No. 01/2026. This engagement is under a CCRUM-funded IMR project titled "Formulation and Characterization of a Novel Unani Phytosome Loaded with Withania somnifera and Capparis spinosa Extracts", studying its anti-viral activity against HPV-causing cervical cancer. No written exam is required — selection is through a walk-in interview only. The project is led by Dr. Lavudya Sreenivasa Naik, Principal Investigator and Research Officer (Biochemistry) at RRIUM Silchar.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Sciences or M.Pharm/Pharmacy from a recognised university
• Desirable: PhD in Life Sciences (completed or submitted)
• Desirable: Knowledge of Phytochemistry or Computational Drug Designing
• Desirable: Publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science

Salary

• The selected candidate will get an emolument of Rs. 22,000 + 8% HRA = Rs. 23,760 per month.
• The engagement is initially for one year, likely to be extended based on performance.
• This is a purely temporary and contractual role that does not confer any right to a regular appointment in CCRUM.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Bring original certificates, one set of self-attested photocopies, two passport-size photographs, and a valid photo ID proof.
2. Interview: Meet the selection panel at the venue. Incomplete applications or candidates reporting after the scheduled time will not be entertained.
