Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) is a premier Research and Development (R&D) autonomous institute of the Government of India under the Department of Telecommunications, working on innovative home-grown telecom technologies. It has invited applications for the post of Specialist - Design & Certification of Strategic Encryptors (Post-Quantum Cryptography) on a contractual basis. This is a full-time, senior subject matter expert role for someone who will guide the design, implementation and certification of next-generation strategic encryptors and make sure they meet national and international security standards. If you are a cryptography or VLSI expert who wants to work on India's secure communication systems, this job is for you.

Who Can Apply?

You must have one of the following qualifications in a relevant field:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Information Technology, VLSI, Mathematics & Computing, or a related discipline.
• M.E. / M.Tech / Integrated M.Sc. in relevant domains such as Cybersecurity, Cryptology, Communication Engineering, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Mathematics and Computing, or Software Systems.
• PhD in a relevant area aligned to the role.

You should have rich experience in the design, development and certification of strategic encryptors and cryptography. Only experience that is relevant and gained after passing your qualifying qualification is counted. Part-time or internship experience is not considered.

Age Limit

• The maximum age is 55 years as on the last date of applications (17 August 2026).
• Candidates from reserved categories must produce the required certificates at the time of interview.

Salary

• The CTC (Cost to Company) is up to Rs. 42,00,000 per annum — roughly Rs. 3,50,000 per month.
• The exact CTC depends on your present pay scale, competency level and experience.

Selection Process

The selection is done in the following stages:

1. Screening: An initial screening is done based on your academic qualification, experience and other parameters given in the advertisement.
2. First-Level Interview: Conducted online.
3. Second-Level Interview: Conducted offline / in person.

Meeting the minimum qualification does not automatically mean you will be called for an interview. C-DOT may change or modify the selection process at its discretion, and its decision is final.
