For PQC & Hardware Domain Posts (Scientist B/C)

• B.E./B.Tech in ECE/CS/EE/EI/IT/VLSI/Embedded Systems/Embedded & Robotics or allied areas
• OR M.E./M.Tech in ECE/CS/EE/EI/IT/VLSI/Communication Engineering/Software Systems/Embedded/Optical Communication or allied areas
• OR PhD in a relevant area under the domain of the post
• Minimum 60% marks throughout academics from Class 10 onwards
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry or research experience (waived for PhD holders)

For InfoSec Domain Posts (Scientist B/C)

• B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E. in Computer Science/IT/Cyber Security/Electronics/ECE
• OR M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Cyber Security/Cyber Forensics
• Minimum 60% marks throughout academics
• 2 to 7 years of professional experience in incident response, digital forensics, penetration testing, or network security
• Preferred certifications: Security+, CySA+, CND, CHFI, CEH, OSCP or equivalent

For R&D Project Management Executive

• B.E./B.Tech (ECE/CS/IT/EE/EI/VLSI or allied areas) OR M.Sc. (Physics/Electronics/IT/Maths) OR MCA
• AND a post-graduate qualification (MBA/PGDM in Project Management or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a technology/R&D organization

For Consultant (Vigilance)

• Must be retired personnel from Central/State Government, PSU, or autonomous bodies
• Retired with substantive pay in Level 8, 9, or 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix
• Minimum 2 years of experience in handling vigilance cases

All qualifications must be from AICTE/UGC-approved or recognized universities. Courses from autonomous institutions must be recognized by AIU/UGC/AICTE.

Age Limit

• Scientist B/C: Maximum 35 years as on the closing date (03 May 2026)
• Consultant (Vigilance): Maximum 63 years
• Age relaxation: SC/ST — 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) — 3 years, PwBD — 10 years, Ex-Servicemen/EWS — as per Government of India norms
• The reference date for age calculation is 30 days from the date of publication in Employment News (English)

Salary

• Scientist B/C: Pay Level 10 (Rs. 50,400 to Rs. 1,60,800 per month) or Pay Level 11 (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month) under the 7th CPC, depending on qualification and experience
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance, Medical Allowance, and other admissible benefits
• Estimated in-hand salary: Approximately Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 1,30,000+ per month (varies by location and pay level)
• Consultant (Vigilance): Consolidated remuneration as per Government of India/DoPT guidelines for retired officers on contractual engagement
• Contract: 5-year initial contract (including 1-year probation), renewable in 5-year blocks up to age 60

Selection Process

There is no written examination. Selection is based on a transparent two-stage interview process:

1. First-Level Interview (Online) — Shortlisted candidates will appear for an online interview. Initial screening is based on academic qualification, experience, and other parameters from the application.
2. Second-Level Interview (Offline/In-person) — Candidates who clear the online round will be called for an in-person interview at C-DOT's campus.
3. Document Verification — Self-attested copies of all certificates (educational, caste, experience) must be presented along with originals at the time of interview.

Candidates can answer interview questions in Hindi or English as preferred. No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid for attending the interview.

• Work on development and implementation of Post-Quantum Cryptography algorithms and hardware systems for national security infrastructure
