Who Can Apply?

Hindi Officer

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in Hindi with English at graduation level, or English with Hindi at graduation level, or another subject with the required Hindi-English combination.
• Experience: You need 5 years of Hindi terminology or translation work from English to Hindi and Hindi to English, preferably in technical or scientific material, or 5 years of teaching/research experience in Hindi and English.
• Desirable: A diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi is preferred.

Hindi Translator

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 50% marks in Hindi, English, or another subject with the required Hindi-English combination.
• Translation Requirement: You also need a recognised diploma/certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi, or 2 years of translation experience in a central/state government office or Government of India undertaking.
• Desirable: Knowledge of department terminology and Hindi and English typing on computer will help.

Age Limit

• Hindi Officer: maximum age is 42 years.
• Hindi Translator: maximum age is 35 years.
• Reference date: age is counted as on the last date for online application, 19 July 2026.
• Age relaxation: SC, ST, OBC non-creamy layer, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and EWS candidates get relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Hindi Officer: Pay Level 8, expected pay range Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month.
• Hindi Translator: Pay Level 4, expected pay range Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
• Allowances: Pay protection and allowances will follow C-DOT rules and Government of India norms where applicable.

Selection Process
