Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) is hiring 2 Consultants (Vigilance) on a contract basis — one post in Delhi and one in Bengaluru. This job is meant for retired government, PSU or autonomous body officers who have handled vigilance work. You must be below 63 years of age and apply online. Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) is a premier Research and Development (R&D) autonomous institute of the Government of India under the Department of Telecommunications. It works on many home-grown telecom technologies and products for the country. C-DOT has now invited applications for 2 Consultant (Vigilance) posts on a purely contractual basis. This is a re-employment opportunity for retired officers who worked in vigilance and want to stay active in public service. The whole process is online only — no hard copy is needed. Number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on the final assessment by C-DOT.

Who Can Apply?

• Retirement: You must have retired from a Central or State Government, PSU, Semi-Government, Autonomous or Statutory Organisation.
• Pay Level: At the time of retirement you should have held a substantive pay in Level 8, 9 or 10 of the Pay Matrix.
• Experience: You need a minimum of 1 year of experience in handling vigilance cases.
• Health: You should be in good health and able to get a fitness certificate from a competent medical practitioner to discharge your duties.

Only experience that is relevant and gained after passing your qualifying qualification is counted. Part-time or internship experience is not considered. Mention your exact percentage of marks — for example, 59.9% should not be rounded off to 60%.

Age Limit

• You should not have crossed 63 years of age as on the closing date of applications.
• The reference date for age is the last date of receiving online applications (17 August 2026).

Remuneration

• The monthly remuneration is fixed as per Government of India norms and DoPT guidelines for retired consultants.
• You will get 1.5 days of paid leave every month.

Engagement Terms

• The engagement is purely on a contractual basis, initially for one year, which may be extended or shortened based on the requirement and your performance.
• This engagement does not give any right to a regular appointment in C-DOT.
• Working hours are normally 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM including a half-hour lunch break. You may be asked to work beyond office hours or on holidays when needed.
• You will need to sign a non-disclosure undertaking.
• The services can be ended at any time by giving one month's notice from either side.

Selection Process

The selection is done in the following stages:

1. Screening: Applications are screened on the basis of your qualification, retirement pay level and vigilance experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. You may answer in Hindi or English.
3. Document Verification

All communication regarding the interview is sent only to your registered email ID. No hard copy will be sent.

• Support the disposal of vigilance complaints in consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC)
• Review and update the organisation's vigilance policies and procedures
• Provide expert guidance on vigilance matters
• Assist in investigation and inquiry processes and conduct CTE-type inspections
• Help conduct the Vigilance Awareness Campaign and audit Annual Immovable Property Returns
• Prepare QPR reports for the CVC, agreed lists, chargesheets and penalty documents
• Examine CBI cases and coordinate on related matters
