Who Can Apply?

Artificial Intelligence Expert

• Qualification: You need BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP or equivalent are expected.
• Experience: You need 7 to 10 years of progressive industry experience in AI-augmented cybersecurity, security research or product leadership.

Scientist B/C/D

• Qualification: You need BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech in CSE, Cybersecurity or AI.
• Experience: You need 2 to 5 years hands-on experience in AI/ML, Deep Learning, LLMs, Python, Malware Analysis, Red Teaming, Threat Hunting, SIEM/SOAR, EDR, Patch Management or related cybersecurity domains.
• Academic marks: You need 70% marks or 7.0 CGPA in the qualifying degree.

Age Limit

• AI Expert: maximum age is 40 years.
• Scientist B/C/D: maximum age is 35 years.
• Reference date: age is counted as on the last date for online application, 19 July 2026.
• Age relaxation: SC, ST, OBC non-creamy layer, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and EWS candidates get relaxation as per Government of India norms. Contractual post relaxation follows C-DOT contractual engagement rules.

Salary

• AI Expert: CTC up to Rs. 60 lakh per annum, which is about Rs. 5,00,000 per month equivalent at the upper end.
• Scientist B/C/D: Pay Levels 10, 11 and 12 under the 7th CPC, depending on the level selected.
• Scientist pay range: Level 10 starts at Rs. 56,100 per month, Level 11 starts at Rs. 67,700 per month, and Level 12 starts at Rs. 78,800 per month.
• Allowances: Regular Scientist appointments get pay protection where admissible under C-DOT rules. Contractual AI Expert salary is as approved by the competent authority.
