Bodoland University (a State University established under the Bodoland University Act, 2009) has released Advertisement No. BU/Advt./NTS/2026/01 to fill 3 Group A officer posts on a tenure basis. All three posts are Unreserved (UR) and carry the same pay scale of Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200. There is no written exam — selection is through interview, so experienced academics and administrators should apply. Only Indian citizens can apply.

Who Can Apply?

The qualification and experience are the same for all three posts:

• Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale) from a recognised university.

You also need to meet any one of the following experience conditions:

• At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above, OR 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above (including as Associate Professor), along with experience in educational administration; OR
• Comparable experience in a research establishment or other institution of higher education; OR
• 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years must be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Eligibility is counted as on the closing date of the online application. Candidates working elsewhere must apply through proper channel and upload the NOC. Indian nationals only.

Age Limit

• You must be below 55 years as on the last date of submission of the application.
• Tenure of the post: up to 5 years.
• Age of superannuation: as per the rules of the Government of Assam.

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month (Academic Level / Group A) for all three posts.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Government of Assam and university rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Screening of Applications: Your qualification and experience are checked against the post requirements. Meeting the minimum criteria alone does not guarantee a call for interview.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. No TA/DA is paid — you must attend at your own cost.
3. Document and Character Verification: Selected candidates must produce original certificates and a medical fitness certificate, and the appointment stays provisional until character and antecedent verification is complete.

• Manage the university's finances, budget, accounts and audit (Finance Officer)
• Oversee student welfare, hostels, scholarships and extracurricular activities (Director of Students' Welfare)
• Prepare reports, proposals and policy notes for the university administration
• Coordinate with the Government of Assam, UGC and affiliated colleges as required
• Guide and supervise the staff working under the respective office
• Ensure compliance with university statutes, rules and government guidelines
