BFUHS Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 - 672 Posts

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has announced recruitment for 672 Staff Nurse posts vide Advertisement No. BFU-26/06 under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Punjab. This is one of the largest nursing recruitment drives in Punjab for 2026, covering positions across government hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state. Selection will be based on a written test and experience marks — no interview stage. If you hold a GNM diploma or B.Sc Nursing degree and are registered with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council, you should definitely apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You need to have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) and hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institution. Alternatively, if you hold a B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc (Post Basic Nursing), or M.Sc Nursing degree, you are also eligible.
• Registration: You must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Chandigarh.
• Punjabi Language: You must have passed Punjabi as a subject at Matriculation (10th) level. This is a mandatory requirement as per Punjab Government norms.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 37 years old.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories (SC, BC, ESM, PwD, Freedom Fighters) is applicable as per Punjab Government rules.
• SC/ST candidates typically get 5 years relaxation, and BC candidates get 3 years relaxation in Punjab Government jobs.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month under Pay Level 5 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Punjab Government rules.
• With DA and other allowances, the total monthly take-home can be significantly higher than the basic pay.

• General / BC / EWS / ESM and all other categories: Rs. 2,360 (including application fee and GST)
• SC category (Punjab domicile): Rs. 1,180 (including application fee and GST)

Selection Process

The selection will be done based on a total of 100 marks:

1. Written Examination (90 Marks): A computer-based test (CBT) covering nursing subjects. Questions will be objective type (MCQs) based on the GNM/B.Sc Nursing syllabus.
2. Experience Marks (10 Marks): Marks awarded based on your relevant work experience in the healthcare sector.

Final merit = Written Test marks + Experience marks. There is no interview in this recruitment.
